Checkpoint was funded with a grant from the Young Filmmakers Fund (now Emerging Filmmakers Fund), a program of assistance for emerging filmmakers that was created by Screen NSW (former New South Wales Film and Television Office). Screen NSW is an Australian government department that funds the development and production of Australian films.
